Rapid Parts Manufacturing Identity

I was asked by Brett Quarmby, an Atlanta-based, South Africa born entrepreneur, to work on the identity for his new rapid prototyping company and give it a level of fun and sophistication. Brett wanted this logo to reflect the state-of-the-art nature of several of his manufacturing process, while hinting of his South African heritage.
